What is included with the Aquatopia Conservatory Facility Fee?

What are the minimum and maximum capacities for guests?
Our maximum capacity is 150 guests. While we have no minimum limit, we have reserved certain
dates and times to accommodate smaller events. Please contact our Events Department for further information.
May I hold my wedding ceremony at Aquatopia?
We can host your ceremony in conjunction with any reception event.
May I hold my wedding ceremony outdoors?
As the glass roof and walls in the Conservatory open to the outdoors along with automatic shade covers, for the comfort of their guests, all of our couples choose to exchange vows inside our facility so that we can quickly close the roof in the event of unexpected high winds or foul weather.
What is the temperature inside the Conservatory?
The Conservatory is fully heated and climate controlled in the cooler months, and maintains pleasant temperatures throughout autumn, winter and spring. In the summer, the Conservatory is well ventilated, however, due to cooling limitations, we require that all events in the months of June, July or August begin no earlier than 5:00pm.
Is there a space for me to get ready?
Our gallery lounge, along with a full 3-piece ensuite private washroom, are available for your exclusive use and your wedding party or special guests. You have full access and use of this space beginning two hours prior to, and for the duration of your event.
What time will my ceremony and dinner start?
As we cannot create darkness within our facility, we recommend that ceremonies and receptions start later in the day to allow for sunset before the after dinner celebrations begin. Guests are generally shy about dancing in the daylight.
We recommend a ceremony start time between 4:00pm and 5:00pm, followed by a cocktail hour,
with dinner served between 6:00pm and 7:00pm.
May I use my own caterer?
Aquatopia’s own executive chef has prepared a variety of cuisines and menus to suit almost every event. Our culinary team are the exclusive providers of all food services at our facility. We would be delighted to discuss any specific requirements you have for your event, including culinary restrictions, allergies, ethnic selections, and kosher.
What type of bar services do you offer?
Aquatopia offers a fabulous fully customizable host bar service provided at LCBO cost, saving you thousands of dollars on a typical reception event. And we also offer a very creative dry bar service where alcoholic beverages are not required.

What time does your bar & facility close?
Our bar closes and music ends at 12:30am, with the Conservatory closing at 1:00am.
Do you allow pets?
Domestic dogs and cats are permitted as part of your ceremony or a presentation. However, pets must be removed from the facility once food or bar services begin. Your pet must be leashed and in the care of a handler at all times. In the event that the pet damages or soils the facility, the client will be responsible for any clean-up costs or damages. Note that we reserve the right to restrict your animal's access to the building at our sole discretion. Registered service animals are
always welcome throughout the entire wedding day.
Can Aquatopia provide special botanical gifts to give to my guests?
Yes. Aquatopia has a wide variety of potted botanicals, succulents and blooming plants that can be a special take-away gifts from your event. Our floral and decor team would be delighted to assist you in creating the perfect favours for your guests.
May I provide my own floral & decor for my event?
The interior of Aquatopia is a an organic working eco-system, with a valuable plant collection. We practice a strict biological protocol for managing all plant material coming into our facility. As such, our expert floral team are the exclusive suppliers for all plant-based floral and decor for all events held at Aquatopia. You may provide your own non-plant based decor items for your event, and our events team will provide all set-up and take-down on your behalf so that you can focus entertaining your guests.
Do you allow for a rehearsal prior to wedding events?
All wedding events are permitted to have a rehearsal the week of your event. All rehearsals and rehearsal dinners will be scheduled by your event co-ordinator.
Can you hold preferred dates for my event?
A signed event agreement along with a $3,500 retainer payment is required to secure your preferred date.
Do you host more than one event at a time?
With the exception of certain smaller daytime events, we provide all of our clients with exclusive use of the entire property & grounds for the duration of all functions. We even barricade our entrance road once your guests have arrived to ensure privacy.
Would it be possible to set up a tour of Aquatopia?

would be delighted to set up a time to meet.
Can shuttle transportation be arranged for my guests?
Our events staff can arrange for a variety of transportation options including: shuttle buses, limousines, taxis, Uber,
and personal vehicle drive home services.
Are there accommodations close by?
There are several major hotels within a 12 minute drive from our facility. Our events staff can speak to you about
arranging block bookings with a preferred room rate.
Is Aquatopia wheelchair accessible?
All areas of Aquatopia wheelchair accessible and CDA compliant.
